What to do with all those dry cleaning hangers... I HATE wire hangers. HATE. My closet is full of neat little plastic ones, ahhh. I know you can just return the metal ones to the dry cleaner but they still pile up. Thank goodness for Halloweeeeeen!

I just snipped the hooks off the hangers and twisted my way here and there with pliers until it resembled a tree like figure. I took those beheaded hooks and twisted them into the branches and roots to give it a more sturdy, full look. A coat of 99 cent black spray paint and it was done.

I am rather fond of it. For now it gets some fake fall leaves, I think I will give it some shrunken apple heads when I get around to it. Oh! Maybe I'll try to shape some tea light holders into the branches... so many possibilities.
